Subject: John Thorne Chocolate Cake
OK...Here is the best cake recipe. I know and one that has truly been a
favorite.
It sounds strange and, when mixed, is VERY thick and dense...it's supposed
to be like that. Just follow the Rec and don't make any changes. This
should cost around U$4.00 to make and take about 1 hr. 20 min. all told.

1 box Devil's Food Cake mix (I use Duncan Hines)
1 package 3.4 oz. instant chocolate pudding
12 oz. chocolate chips
2 large eggs
16 oz. Sour Cream (yes...16 oz.)

Mix all together (I use the KitchenAid mixer as I have one) Until just
mixed. Don't overbeat. If doing this by hand, you won't overbeat as it's
thick ! Scoop out into a Bundt Pan that is sprayed with pan release and
bake at 350* F. for 55 minutes.
Cool in pan for 5-10 min. then invert onto cake plate for further cooling.
No need to frost 'tho you could serve with whipped cream or even vanilla
ice cream. I suggest you try it plain at first. You need to curry favor
with your auto mechanic, tax office, Dr., etc. ? Bring one of these to
their office on your next visit...works like a charm...Good Luck,

Frank in Sarasota

[Moderator: I will also vouch for this cake.  It is delicious]
